The influences on my art are wide and varied. I’ve had numerous careers, from door-to-door salesman, to stockbroker, to flight instructor, to wine expert, to educational filmmaker, to Administrator of a medical clinic, to business consultant, to freelance magazine writer, to manager of small retail chain, to novelist, to radio announcer, to FAA weather observer, to fine art photographer.
I’ve lived in Los Angeles and Venice in Southern California, New York City, several places in Hawaii, and finally landed in Eureka, California, amid the redwood forests. My travels include most of Europe, Iceland, Morocco, Mexico, Canada, and New Zealand; not as many as I would like, but enough to know that people are people everywhere.
My endeavors also include writing advertising copy, business articles and publications, a screenplay, and three novels. About the only constant has been photography. Over the disturbingly significant time of my existence photography has become much more an interior journey than an exterior one.
